Experienced Assembly Supervisor needed for an established manufacturing client!

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Manufacturing Assembly Supervisor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about manufacturing, quality control, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the assembly line, managing inventory, and ensuring the quality of our products. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate all activities of the assembly line, ensuring that all products are manufactured on schedule, within quality standards, and cost objectives.
  • Implement and manage continuous improvement processes to enhance production quality, capacity, and efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address production issues, ensuring defect reduction.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and efficient material usage.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to introduce new products to the assembly line.
  • Manage the supply chain to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
  • Implement process improvements and cost reduction strategies to enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
  • Monitor and report on key production metrics, providing regular updates to senior management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in root cause analysis, defect reduction, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Strong knowledge of production management, quality control, and product development.
  • Extensive experience in assembly line supervision, inventory management, and supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and cost reduction strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, including MS Office and production management software.
  • A commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and achieving results.
