Job summary

AOI, a leading optical and HFC networking solutions provider, seeks a Manufacturing Application Support Technician in Sugar Land, TX. You will support manufacturing software and production systems, follow SOPs, collect diagnostics, and escalate complex issues to Engineering.

The role requires detailed documentation and collaboration across Production, IT, and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate brings a technical degree, strong Windows and MS Office skills, and experience with MES/EAP/WMS or

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent.
• Basic proficiency with Windows OS and MS Office.
• Ability to follow SOPs and document results.
• Experience with ticketing/issue-tracking systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for manufacturing software and production systems by following SOPs, guides, and work instructions.
• Perform standard troubleshooting procedures to identify and resolve known manufacturing application and system issues.
• Collect and document troubleshooting information, including error messages, screenshots, timestamps, IDs, and logs.
• Perform approved system checks and recovery actions per procedures to verify system status.
• Run predefined SQL queries, scripts, or diagnostic tools as specified in procedures to assist with investigations.
• Provide feedback on troubleshooting guides and SOPs when instructions are unclear or not matching system behavior.
