Job summary

Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (AOI) in Sugar Land, TX is hiring a Manufacturing Application Support Engineer. You will troubleshoot manufacturing software, support MES and related systems, and create documentation to improve future issue resolution.

The role requires strong SQL skills, Windows expertise, and ability to work with Production, Engineering, IT, and vendors. Mandarin is a plus. Onsite, Mon–Fri, in Sugar Land.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 1+ year of relevant work experience.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills for troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Use SQL to investigate and troubleshoot production issues in manufacturing software.
• Support MES, EAP, RMS, FDC, WMS, and related systems.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, IT, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Participate in RCA for critical production incidents and implement actions.
• Provide after-hours or on-call support as required.
