Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (AOI) seeks a Manufacturing Application Support Engineer to provide technical support for the manufacturing software systems powering high-volume electronics manufacturing.

You will troubleshoot production software issues, perform SQL-based data investigations, and work with Production, Engineering, IT, Software Development, and vendors. The role emphasizes creating and maintaining high-quality documentation, including troubleshooting guides, SOPs, manuals, and

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Automation, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational databases; ability to write and execute SQL queries for troubleshooting and data validation.
• Experience troubleshooting software applications using logs, database records, and diagnostic tools.

Responsabilidades

• Use SQL to investigate and troubleshoot production issues, reviewing transactions, equipment status, lot information, and data inconsistencies.
• Support MES, EAP, RMS, FDC, WMS, and related production software.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including troubleshooting guides, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, IT, Software Development, and external vendors to resolve issues.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis for critical or recurring incidents and help identify corrective actions.
• Be prepared for after-hours or on-call support as required.
