Job summary

Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (AOI) seeks a Manufacturing Applications Support Technician to provide ongoing technical support for manufacturing software and production systems, following SOPs and documented procedures.

You will gather diagnostic data, perform approved checks, and escalate complex issues to the engineering team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to document results clearly, and can communicate with Production, Engineering, IT, and Application Support teams in a

Qualifications

Basic proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to follow SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and work instructions.
Ability to perform system checks, diagnostics, and document results.
Familiarity with ticketing/issue-tracking systems.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Clear written and verbal communication across teams.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for manufacturing software and production systems following SOPs.
Perform standard troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
Collect and document troubleshooting information with details (error messages, timestamps, IDs).
Run approved system checks and recovery actions per procedures.
Run predefined SQL queries or diagnostic tools as specified.
Suggest improvements to troubleshooting guides and SOPs.
