Job summary

Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (AOI) in Sugar Land, TX, seeks a Full Stack Software Developer to design, build, and own internal software systems powering manufacturing operations.

You will work across the stack, from dashboards to equipment-level communication, driving architecture decisions and end-to-end solutions in a high-autonomy environment. The role emphasizes C#/.NET fundamentals, ASP.NET Core, Blazor, and data visualization, with collaboration across MES, database, and systems

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or equivalent
• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in C# / .NET development (ASP.NET Core, Blazor, EF)
• Solid experience with SQL databases (queries, joins, stored procedures)
• Front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript) and RESTful API design
• Git and collaborative development workflows
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, own, and maintain full-stack internal manufacturing web applications
• Build responsive front-end interfaces and robust back-end services with C# / .NET stack
• Implement scalable architectures serving multiple teams across manufacturing
• Maintain and enhance SECS/GEM related software and MES/RMS integrations
• Create dashboards for production performance, yield, and equipment health
• Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with vendors on interfaces
