Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (AOI) in Sugar Land, Texas, is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to design, build, and own internal systems powering manufacturing operations from front-end dashboards to back-end services.

The role emphasizes C#/.NET, SQL, and SECS/GEM familiarity, with opportunities to influence architecture, improve throughput, and collaborate with MES, RMS, and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM field or equivalent professional experience.
• 3-5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# / .NET development (ASP.NET Core, Blazor, EF or similar).
• Experience with SQL databases, RESTful APIs, and Git.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, own, and maintain internal web applications for manufacturing operations.
• Architect scalable software serving multiple manufacturing teams across MES/RMS integrations.
• Build dashboards for production performance, yield, and equipment health.
• Integrate MES and RMS with SQL data stores and data visualization tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation, data integrity, and communication issues in a high-volume facility.
