Job summary

Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions is seeking a full-time AP/AR Accountant for a Rockford, Illinois area facility. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of accounting experience with accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, and tax procedures.

Responsibilities include audits, vendor invoicing, reconciliations, and monthly close. Candidates should have an associate degree or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years’ accounting experience.
• Experience with accounts payable / receivable, budget preparation, and tax procedures.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation for internal and external financial audits
• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely
• Bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and banking transaction functions
• Assist with preparation of corporate income taxes
• Accounts payable and receivable functions
• Journal entry and month- / year-end close preparation
• Creation of accounting reports for upper management
• Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
