Job summary

Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions is seeking an detail‑oriented AP/AR Clerk in Rockford, IL to support the finance team in a fully onsite, full-time role. You will handle invoices, approvals, payments, and vendor/customer inquiries, while maintaining accurate A/P and A/R records.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in AP or accounting, an associate degree, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Accounts Payable or accounting or related administrative roles
• Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing invoices and payments

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize all invoices, bills, statements, payment documents, and support records
• Verify and obtain required approvals for all payables and confirm status of pending invoices
• Process daily postings in the accounting system; prepare and mail vendor checks and correspondence
• Prepare wire/ACH payment lists and reports for supervisor review
• Assist with reconciling credit card transactions and provide support to employees on card usage
• Apply customer payments promptly and maintain A/P and A/R sub-ledgers
• Deposit incoming checks and generate A/P and A/R aging reports
• Coordinate with departments to resolve discrepancies and provide documentation
