Job summary

Focus is seeking an Accounting Supervisor in Seneca, SC. This on-site/hybrid role supervises AP, AR, GL, and month-end close, ensuring accurate financial results and strong internal controls.

You will lead accounting staff, coordinate audits, and drive process improvements using SAP and other finance systems. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and at least five years of progressive experience, with manufacturing accounting background preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience including AP, AR, general ledger, close, reporting, and reconciliation responsibilities.
• Leadership: Prior supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Industry Focus: Manufacturing accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries in accordance with established close schedules and approval requirements.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure financial transactions are complete, accurate, and recorded in the appropriate period.
• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and document timely resolution of reconciling items.
• Coordinate assigned reporting and data-load activities, including OneStream support for actual and quarter-end reporting.
• Supervise AP and AR daily operations, monitoring workload, priorities, accuracy, and service levels.
• Oversee supplier invoice processing, credit memos, payment requests, payment releases, vendor account maintenance, and resolution of payment discrepancies.
