Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to lead AP/AR operations, oversee the general ledger, and support close processes. The role drives internal controls, audit readiness, and system optimization across SAP and related finance tools.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in progressive accounting roles, manufacturing experience, and strong GAAP knowledge, with supervisory experience and a focus on accuracy and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience, including AP, AR, general ledger, close, reporting, and reconciliation responsibilities.
• Prior supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, supervising daily workload and accuracy.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries; support month-, quarter-, and year-end closes.
• Coordinate internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit support with documentation and traceability.
• Serve as finance owner for SAP and related systems; support OneStream and other tools.
• Lead process improvements through automation and standardized procedures.
