Carolina Professional Recruiting Group partners with a North American manufacturing company to identify a Senior Accountant. You will support month-end close, financial reporting, and inventory accounting while partnering with operations to improve accuracy and strengthen controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Three or more years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing
• Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial analysis
• Exposure to inventory accounting or cost accounting
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with an ERP system

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, investigate variances, and explain key drivers of results
• Reconcile inventory balances and review inventory transactions for accuracy
• Support inventory valuation, excess and obsolete inventory reserves, and cost-of-goods-sold analysis
• Partner with plant and operations teams on physical inventories, cycle counts, and resolution of discrepancies
• Assist with manufacturing cost analysis, including material, labor, and overhead variances
• Maintain internal controls and provide documentation for external audits
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and ERP workflows
