Job summary

Moeller Aerospace, a Wixom-based aerospace manufacturer, seeks an Accounting Supervisor to lead AR/AP, month-end close, and financial reporting under the Company Controller. You will supervise the AR/AP team, implement process improvements, and ensure GAAP-compliant, accurate statements. Manufacturing experience and CPA-friendly preferred; strong Excel and ERP skills essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

General Ledger Oversight — Support month-end close, prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Department Leadership — Supervise, mentor, and evaluate AR/AP team members; ensure consistent daily workflow.
Audit & Compliance Support — Prepare schedules for audits, financial reviews, and tax filings (excise, property).
Process Improvement — Assist the Controller in evaluating new accounting standards and enhancing internal processes.
Financial Reporting & Analysis — Support balance sheet and P&L variance analysis; research discrepancies and provide insights.
Special Projects — Complete ad-hoc analyses, reports, and projects to support evolving business needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
