Job summary

The role requires 5+ years in accounting, 3+ years in team management, and experience in manufacturing/wholesale distribution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience.
• 4 to 5+ years general ledger and month-end close.
• 5+ years in manufacturing and/or wholesale distribution.
• 2+ years in cost accounting.
• Solid GAAP knowledge and internal controls.
• Proficiency with a mid-market ERP used in manufacturing or distribution.
• 3+ years managing an accounting team.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
• Strong problem solving, planning and priority setting.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close and improve timelines and data accuracy.
• Maintain a complete general ledger and deliver timely financial statements in line with GAAP.
• Lead inventory and cost accounting including variances and landed costs.
• Perform variance and financial analysis, identify drivers and recommend actions.
• Manage cash flow, forecasting and the annual budget, including rolling cash flow.
• Oversee AP, AR, customer credit and collections; back up HR for payroll.
• Build and enforce internal controls and support ISO 9001 practices.
• Manage the accounting team's lifecycle: hiring, onboarding, training, reviews and compensation.
