Job summary

Duraco Specialty Materials in Ohio seeks an Accounting Manager to lead key financial processes, analyze performance, and partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service and Finance to drive informed business decisions. You will own month-end close, manage AR/AP, and maintain strong internal controls while identifying opportunities to improve reporting and cash flow.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years accounting experience, manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AR, AP, GL support, and account reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and operational insights with plant leadership.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes (billing, invoicing, payments, credits, adjustments, ACH, reconciliations).
• Support month-end close activities (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, financial reporting).
• Analyze manufacturing performance, inventory activity, variances, and cost trends.
• Monitor aging, collections, vendor accounts, and cash flow to improve working capital.
• Investigate discrepancies and collaborate across teams to improve accuracy.
• Maintain vendor, customer, and financial master data in the ERP system.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and reporting capabilities.
• Support audits and provide backup for other accounting functions.
