Job summary

Duraco Specialty Materials is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead manufacturing cost accounting activities and support broader accounting and financial reporting functions. You will work closely with operations leaders to provide insights that improve business performance, ensure financial accuracy, and support growth initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous Cost Accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into operational recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain labor and overhead rates used in standard costing.
• Monitor and update raw material standard costs.
• Establish standard costs for newly created products and parts.
• Analyze manufacturing operations, inventory, overhead, product costs, and profitability.
• Lead month-end close activities and investigate financial variances.
• Manage inventory reserves and inventory valuation processes.
• Lead cycle count programs and year-end physical inventories.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost of goods sold analysis.
• Support capital expenditure projects and fixed asset tracking.
• Prepare financial reports and provide recommendations to management.
• Oversee AP/AR Analyst responsibilities, including cash receipts and accounts payable functions.
• Support external audits and compliance activities.
