Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for its Detroit manufacturing facility. The role handles financial operations, closes, and reporting with a hands-on approach, owning complex processes and driving improvement.

You will work under the Director of Accounting and Financial Analysis in a growing, on-site setting. The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in accounting/finance, strong Excel, and experience with QuickBooks, JD Edwards, and OneStream.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; MBA/CPA/CMA a plus.
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Manufacturing experience preferred, multi-location environment.
• Strong Excel skills; familiarity with QuickBooks, JD Edwards, OneStream.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain balance sheet schedules.
• Conduct customer and vendor account reconciliations.
• Analyze variances against budget and forecast; provide insights.
• Evaluate payback of capital investments with clear benefits.
• Support financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Ensure GAAP compliance, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with audits and regulatory filings.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization to support growth.
