Job summary

UHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group is seeking an Accounting Manager for a great client in manufacturing. The role emphasizes accounting accuracy, Excel proficiency and a solid foundation in journal entries and general accounting.

This onsite, direct-hire position handles month-end close, reconciliations, inventory and cost accounting, and cross-functional collaboration. CPA or CPA-track candidates are encouraged to apply; training is available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Strong manufacturing accounting experience with solid Excel skills.
• Excellent journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close knowledge.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
• CPA or CPA-track candidates are encouraged to apply and training is available.
• Experience with inventory/cost accounting preferred; ERP experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and general ledger functions.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support manufacturing operations accounting and cost accounting.
• Assist with percentage-of-completion accounting and project reporting.
• Ensure processes, controls, and procedures meet US GAAP.
• Collaborate with operations and Finance to resolve issues.
• Support ERP processes; Epicor experience is helpful but not required.
• Learn new accounting processes with training for qualified candidates.
