Job summary

firstPRO, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. The ideal candidate combines senior-level accounting expertise with manufacturing experience, especially in overhead, inventory reserves, standard costing, PPV and cost variances.

The role supports month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls, with opportunities to improve processes and ERP systems. Hybrid schedule with 3 onsite days and 2 remote days is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred
• Experience with cost accounting, inventory, overhead, standard costing, PPV, and inventory reserves

Responsibilities

• Manage general accounting activities and support accurate financial reporting
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory transactions, and production variances
• Support inventory accounting, valuation, and physical inventory counts
• Maintain fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and capital project tracking
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies
• Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
• Provide financial insight to operations and management
• Identify and implement process and ERP improvements
