Job summary

Schaefer's Electrical Enclosures, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support daily financial operations in our Missouri facility.

This role assists with accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and general ledger activities while upholding accuracy and company policy compliance. You will collaborate with Purchasing, Shipping, Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Inventory to ensure complete and timely accounting records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP or manufacturing accounting software preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and data entry accuracy.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable: generate invoices, post payments, resolve discrepancies, monitor aging, and collect past due amounts.
• Accounts Payable: process vendor invoices, ensure three-way match, resolve discrepancies, and maintain vendor data.
• General Accounting: reconcile GL accounts, assist month-end close, and support audits and inquiries.
