Job summary

Schaefer's Electrical Enclosures, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Clerk to provide accounting and administrative support for daily financial operations at our manufacturing facility. You will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and ledger activities while ensuring accuracy and policy compliance.

You will work with Purchasing, Shipping, Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Inventory to maintain timely and accurate records and support month-end close and audits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; an Associate degree is preferred.
• Two or more years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP or manufacturing accounting software preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and data entry accuracy.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate customer invoices for products shipped and services rendered.
• Post customer payments and process daily cash receipts.
• Monitor AR aging and perform collection calls as needed.
• Evaluate credit requests and review credit limits for current accounts.
• Process vendor invoices and verify three-way match.
• Maintain vendor master data and ensure accurate payment processing.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close.
• Support external audits and respond to inquiries from customers or suppliers.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
