Job summary

Itron is seeking an accounting professional to support NAM manufacturing accounting functions, reporting to the manager responsible for these areas. The role emphasizes SOX compliance, U.S. GAAP adherence, and collaboration across accounting and cross‑functional partners.

The position involves routine close activities, audit support, process improvement, and a focus on internal controls, efficiency, and digital transformation within a customer‑centric culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal‑control knowledge.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Collaborative with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical with problem‑solving abilities and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Support NAM inventory and royalty accounting operations with GL entries, reconciliations, and reports.
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities per global close calendar.
• Apply U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal controls across processes and systems.
• Maintain well‑documented accounting records and control evidence.
• Assist with quarterly audit deliverables and respond to ad hoc requests.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enable business initiatives and automation.
