Job summary

Ushio America, Inc. seeks a Senior Accountant to support GAAP-compliant financial reporting, monthly close, and internal controls.

The role collaborates with operations, logistics, production, and leadership to ensure accurate cost accounting and inventory management. You will maintain fixed asset records, analyze variances, prepare management reports, assist audits, and participate in process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with 3–5 years in a senior role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• CPA preferred or public accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries to close month end and reconcile accounts.
• Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
• Develop management reports and variance analyses.
• Assist with ERP system enhancements and process improvements.
