Zippy, headquartered in Dallas, TX, seeks a skilled Underwriter for our Dealer & Broker lending team, focusing on manufactured housing loans originated through dealers and brokers.

You will underwrite, verify income, tax returns, and credit, assess risk, and ensure regulatory compliance to keep files moving through the pipeline.

Qualifications

• Experience as loan underwriter or similar role is required.
• Manufactured housing loan experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of underwriting guidelines and lending regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review loan applications and docs for manufactured housing loans.
• Assess borrower creditworthiness from financial statements and tax returns.
• Evaluate LTV, DTI, and other indicators to determine feasibility.
• Analyze market trends and valuations to set loan amounts and terms.
• Underwrite standard loan scenarios per guidelines and risk tolerance.
• Perform risk assessments and flag potential fraud; escalate complex cases.
• Ensure compliance with lending regs and internal policies.
• Prepare underwriting decisions with rationale and loan structures.
• Offer alternative options or counter offers to dealers/brokers.
• Collaborate with dealers, brokers, and loan officers to resolve deficiencies.
• Communicate decisions to partners and internal stakeholders.
• Manage a pipeline for timely decision-making.
