Zippy is hiring an Underwriter to join the Dealer & Broker (Retail) lending team, focusing on manufactured housing loans originated through dealer and broker partners.
You will evaluate loan applications, assess borrower creditworthiness, and ensure compliance with lending regulations while working to move files efficiently through the pipeline. This remote-first role serves retail partners nationwide.
Qualifications
- Experience as loan underwriter or similar role required.
- Familiarity with manufactured housing loans and dealer/broker channels preferred.
- Proficient in analyzing financial statements, credit reports, tax returns.
Responsibilities
- Review loan applications and documents for manufactured housing loans.
- Assess borrower creditworthiness from financial statements and history.
- Evaluate LTV, DTI, and other indicators for loan feasibility.
- Analyze market trends and property valuations to set loan amounts/terms.
- Underwrite standard loan scenarios per guidelines and risk tolerance.
- Identify red flags and escalate complex cases as needed.
- Ensure compliance with lending regulations and internal policies.
- Prepare underwriting decisions and summaries with recommended structures.
- Collaborate with dealers/brokers to explore alternatives when needed.
- Maintain an efficient pipeline with timely decisions.
