Zippy, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Underwriter for its Dealer & Broker lending team focused on manufactured housing loans.

You will evaluate applications, review income, credit, and property valuations, and work with retail partners to move files through the pipeline efficiently. Responsibilities include analyzing financial documents, assessing risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering well-supported underwriting decisions.

Qualifications

• Prior loan underwriting experience required, preferably in manufactured housing or dealer/broker lending.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting guidelines and lending regulations for manufactured housing.
• Able to analyze financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports.

Responsibilities

• Review loan applications for manufactured housing loans and verify income, credit, and property values.
• Assess borrower creditworthiness using financial statements and employment history.
• Evaluate loan-to-value and debt-to-income ratios to determine feasibility.
• Underwrite standard loan scenarios per guidelines and risk tolerance.
• Identify discrepancies or potential fraud and escalate as needed.
• Prepare underwriting decisions with clear rationale and recommended structures.
• Collaborate with dealers, brokers, loan officers, and processors to gather necessary information.
• Communicate decisions clearly to retail partners and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain pipeline and ensure timely decision-making and throughput.
• Stay updated on regulations and market trends.
