Zippy, a remote-first lender focused on manufactured housing, seeks an Underwriter to evaluate loan applications and assess borrower creditworthiness for dealer and broker channels. You will work with retail partners to move files efficiently through the pipeline and stay compliant with lending regulations.

Ideal candidates bring underwriting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to adapt to new systems while maintaining confidentiality and data privacy.

Formación

• Previous experience as a loan underwriter or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of underwriting guidelines, lending regulations and compliance for manufactured housing loans.
• Proficient in analyzing financial statements, credit reports, tax returns and other documents.
• Familiarity with loan origination software, underwriting systems and document management platforms.
• Comfortable communicating with external retail partners including dealers and brokers.

Responsabilidades

• Review loan applications and documentation for manufactured housing loans.
• Assess borrower creditworthiness through financial statements, tax returns and employment history.
• Evaluate loan-to-value and debt-to-income ratios to determine feasibility.
• Analyze market trends and property valuations to set loan amounts and terms.
• Underwrite standard loan scenarios per guidelines and risk tolerance.
• Identify discrepancies or potential fraud and escalate as needed.
• Ensure compliance with lending regulations and internal policies.
• Prepare clear underwriting decisions and rationales for loan structures.
