The i2Systems Manual Machinist position in Morris, CT offers an opportunity to support production by modifying, reworking and fabricating parts on manual equipment. You will set up and operate drill presses, lathes, mills, saws and hand tools while interpreting blueprints and maintaining tolerances.

Requirements include 1–3 years of manual machining experience, a high school diploma (tech school a plus), ability to read blueprints and use micrometers/calipers, and the ability to lift 40–50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of manual machining experience
• High school diploma preferred; 2-year tech school/college a plus
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision instruments
• Solid shop math and ability to hold tolerances

Responsibilities

• Modify/rework parts to spec using manual machines (lathe, mill, drill press, grinders, saws)
• Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and work instructions; verify dimensions
• Select tooling/fixtures, perform basic setups, and run parts to accuracy
• Inspect work with micrometers, calipers, gauges; document measurements
• Maintain 5S/safety standards and coordinate with Production/Engineering
• Track work against schedules and support continuous improvement
