Job summary

CCS INC in Anaheim, CA seeks an experienced Manual Machinist to operate Lathes, Mills and Grinders, interpreting blueprints and setting up tooling fixtures. You will plan work sequences and take precise measurements to produce components to spec.

You will read engineering drawings in English, select appropriate machines, and check outputs for quality. This on-site role requires physical capability and offers a competitive salary and bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years in manual machine shop or tool room.
• Experience creating prototype parts from designs or blueprints.
• 5+ years in hands-on manual machining.
• 5 years with manual Lathes (MUST).
• Mills and Grinders experience preferred.
• Experience manufacturing tooling fixtures.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions in English.
• Experience with measuring devices to ensure part quality.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings or instructions to understand output specifications.
• Plan the sequence of actions for job completion.
• Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.
• Select appropriate machines (Lathes, Mills, Grinders) and load material.
• Select tools and cutting conditions.
• Define and manufacture tooling fixtures/JIGs as required.
• Check output to ensure consistency.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Operate machines safely.

6:00 AM – 2:30 PM PST

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years + of experience in a manual machine shop or tool room department
• Experience with creating prototype parts from just a design or blueprint
• 5 years of experience with hands on manual machining.
• 5 year of experience with manual Lathes is a MUST
• Experience Mills and Grinders is preferred
• Experience manufacturing tooling fixtures
• Experience reading blueprints and work instructions in English
• Experience with measuring devices to ensure the quality of the manufactured components

Physical requirements are listed below but not limited to:

• Standing- Frequent/Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day.
• Walking- Occasionally/Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day.
• Sitting- Occasionally/Intermittent. Lifting- Up to 50 lbs.
• Occasionally/Intermittent. Carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Occasionally/Intermittent Pushing/Pulling-between 50-100 lbs.
