Atlas Copco North America LLC in Saugerties, NY is seeking a Manual Machinist responsible for operating manual milling machines to produce precision parts. You will read blueprints, set up tooling, and ensure parts meet tolerances in our metalworking shop.

Qualifications

Manual Machinest

The Manual Machinest is responsible for operating a variety of machines to perform assigned task. The Machine Operator II will produce precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements. This position will be based out of our metal working shop facility in Saugerties, NY.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience

• Set up and operate manual milling machines (Bridgeport) to machine parts to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Select and install appropriate tooling, cutters, and fixtures
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Perform adjustments to ensure proper tolerances and quality standards
• Works from schedules, shop orders, established procedures, blueprints, and specifications.
• Identifies deviations that can potentially interrupt productivity.
• Maintains logs and other necessary documents.
• Works with direct supervision
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary: $22 - $27/hr
