Job summary

Winterthur Technologies in Royersford, PA is hiring a Manual Machinist for full-time on-site work. You will read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and engineering drawings, and set up and operate grinders to meet print specifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher.
• Minimum one (1) year of grinding or machinist experience in private, public, government OR military environment OR Technical School.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, routing sheets, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and follow work orders, blueprints & engineering drawings.
• Measure and verify setups and parts by measuring positions, first-run parts and sample work pieces utilizing comparator, calipers, micrometers, bore gages, height gages, indicators and other measuring equipment needed.
• Set-up and operate grinders as needed to machine parts to print specifications.
• Balance the roll to the documented specifications by operating a balancing machine and drill press.
