Job summary

WENCOR is seeking a machine operator with basic machining skills to perform setup and operation of machine tools for fabricating and repairing precision instruments. You will read blueprints, measure with micrometers, align chucks, and machine parts to traveler specifications in a safety-conscious environment.

The role requires basic math, English literacy, and knowledge of safety procedures; experience with conventional machining is helpful but not mandatory. Training provided on-site.

Qualifications

• Must speak, read and write English.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform basic math.
• Experience with micrometers and gauges preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE.
• Prior machining experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn proper operation of the machine and report problems.
• Read and use micrometers and bore gauges.
• Center chucks on machines for grinding.
• Indicate or zero parts on machines.
• Machining parts to specifications on travelers.
• Lubricate grinding equipment and parts.
• Understand the dust recovery system and safety rules.
