Job summary

RMS Inc. in Pasadena, TX is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to set up and operate a large VTL (up to 120” swing) on rotating equipment components such as pumps, turbines, and compressors.

You will read blueprints, select tooling, measure parts with precision instruments, maintain tight tolerances, and document work performed. This is a full-time role requiring 5–10 years of experience and the ability to pass background and drug screenings.

Qualifications

• Operate large Vertical Turret Lathe (VTL) up to 120” swing and approx. 120” under rail.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
• Set up machines with proper tooling, fixtures, and materials.
• Measure finished parts with micrometers, calipers, gauges to verify tolerances.
