Thern in Winona, MN is hiring a Manual Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role sets up and operates manual machining equipment, reads blueprints, and ensures parts meet precise specifications to support production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating manual machining equipment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong math skills and understanding of measurements and tolerances.
• Ability to use measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machining equipment including lathes, turning centers, and machining centers
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements
• Measure, mark, and prepare materials for machining
• Align and secure fixtures, tools, and materials on machines
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain quality and tolerances
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure conformance to specifications
• Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineering or production teams as needed
• Perform trial runs to verify machine setup and accuracy
• Perform routine machine maintenance as required
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
