The role emphasizes documentation, troubleshooting and continuous improvement, with minimal supervision. You will read blueprints and GD&T, inspect parts with precision tools, mentor others, and collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• Set up and operate a variety of machine shop equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints/ drawings with GD&T.
• Perform precision inspections using metrology tools.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture production and tooling parts using tools and materials as required.
• Set‑up and operate machine shop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect components with precision measuring equipment and guide in-process inspection.
• Measure parts with calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, vision systems.
• Interpret graphs and data for problem solving and SPC.
• Coordinate, document, and close machine shop activities with other departments.
• Generate work instructions, setup sheets, and programs for machining.
• Read and advise on manufacturability from blueprints and GD&T.
• Set up and operate CNC and manual equipment to meet customer requirements with minimal supervision.
• Review documentation to ensure conforming product and safe, efficient methods.
• Train and mentor others in machining processes.
• Communicate issues with recommendations to appropriate personnel.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide improvement recommendations.
• Define and perform routine maintenance of equipment.
