Job summary

MPI is seeking an experienced Superintendent - Construction for Manhattan-based ground-up developments in New York City. You will oversee field operations from excavation through turnover, coordinate subs and vendors, and ensure schedules and safety standards are met.

The ideal candidate has 7–10+ years in ground-up construction, a valid NYC DOB Construction Superintendent license, and a proven track record delivering multifamily or large-scale residential projects with strong leadership and

Qualifications

• Experience delivering ground-up multifamily, mixed-use, hotel, or large-scale residential projects.
• Strong scheduling and milestone management abilities.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations on ground-up construction projects from excavation to turnover.
• Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field staff; coordinate with PMs, architects, engineers, and ownership teams.
• Maintain schedules, look-ahead plans, and project documentation; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Review drawings (architectural, structural, civil, MEP) and coordinate construction activities.
• Manage inspections, permits, punches, and project closeout; resolve field issues to protect schedule and budget.
