Job summary

MPI is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee on-site construction activities for ground-up projects in the New York market, including Westchester area. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, budgets, safety, and quality, and report to Project Managers and owners.

The role emphasizes leadership of field teams, review of drawings, and delivering projects to the highest standards. Local NY experience and OSHA are valued assets; a long-term career with a growing contractor

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a General Contractor.
• Proven experience delivering ground-up construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, safety regulations, and building codes.
• Ability to lead field teams and coordinate multiple subcontractors.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience with commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, healthcare, education, or institutional projects is highly desirable.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Local experience within New York, Westchester County, or surrounding markets is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through project completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to meet schedules.
• Maintain project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Conduct daily site inspections and enforce safety regulations.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and ownership teams.
• Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents for compliance.
• Identify and resolve construction issues to minimize delays.
• Lead site meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
• Oversee quality control to deliver high-standard projects.
