Job summary

TechDigital Group is seeking a hands-on senior Warehouse Automation Architect to lead the design and implementation of Manhattan Active WM in Manhattan's distribution centers. You will drive configuration, extensions, and integrations with MHE and WES/WCS systems.

You will own API contracts, event flows, and error handling for real-time automation; collaborate with ERP, OMS, TMS teams; and guide offshore developers through delivery and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Manhattan Active Warehouse Management configuration and deployment.
• Experience integrating MAWM with MHE systems such as conveyors and AS/RS.
• Hands-on troubleshooting across MAWM configuration, extensions, and payloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of Manhattan Active WM in DCs.
• Configure MAWM capabilities including facilities, locations, rules, allocation, and packing.
• Build MAWM extensions using ProActive and Groovy/Java-style logic.
• Own integration design between MAWM and MHE/WES/WCS systems.
• Define message flows, API contracts, payloads, error handling, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with ERP/OMS/TMS teams to integrate inventory, orders, and shipments.
• Support fit-gap analysis, workshops, specs, test strategy, cutover, and hypercare.
• Troubleshoot configuration, integration payloads, logs, and performance bottlenecks.
• Provide technical leadership to developers/testers/offshore teams; review designs and deployment plans.
• Advise clients on integration patterns and support model design.

Job Description:

• Lead the design and implementation of Manhattan's Active WM solution in manual and automated DCs.
• Configure Manhattan Active WM capabilities including facility setup, locations, inventory rules, allocation, task generation, waving, cartonization, packing, shipping, equipment, users/roles, reason codes, exceptions, and operational workflows.
• Design, build, and support MAWM extensions using Manhattan ProActive, Groovy/Java-style extension logic where applicable, custom services, UI extensions, labels/documents, events, and configuration-driven enhancements.
• Own integration design and delivery between MAWM and MHE/WES/WCS systems such as conveyors, sorters, ASRS, shuttle systems, AMRs/AGVs, pick-to-light, put walls, print/apply, dimensioners, and automated packing solutions.
• Define message flows, API/event contracts, canonical payloads, sequencing, retry/error handling, idempotency, monitoring, and reconciliation patterns for real-time warehouse automation integrations.
• Partner with ERP, OMS, TMS, and middleware teams to integrate inventory, orders, ASN/receipts, shipments, carrier manifesting, labor, item/location masters, and operational visibility data.
• Support fit-gap analysis, process design workshops, configuration workbooks, functional specifications, technical design documents, test strategy, cutover planning, hypercare, and stabilization.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting across MAWM configuration, extensions, integration payloads, logs, automation events, operational exceptions, and performance bottlenecks.
• Provide technical leadership to developers, testers, and offshore teams; review designs, code, test cases, and deployment plans for quality and completeness.
• Advise clients on warehouse automation integration patterns, operational control points, fallback procedures, exception handling, and support model design.
