Job summary

Sysco Connecticut, LLC is seeking an experienced Sales Consultant to promote products and services to new and existing accounts in the US-NY Long Island territory. The role involves building relationships, achieving sales goals, and working non-traditional hours as needed.

You will develop business, qualify prospects, and stay informed about market trends, competitive products, and pricing. A valid driver's license and insurability are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR HSD/GED with 3 years Restaurant Management, B2B or outside sales experience, or equivalent.
• Bi-lingual preferred.
• Valid driver's license with insurability and vehicle insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth within assigned territory.
• Seek and qualify prospects following account stratification goals.
• Research customer needs and develop a mix of products and services.
• Evaluate market trends and recommend products based on business needs.
• Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
• Drive to customer accounts, conventions, and meetings; manage deliveries per routing schedule.
• Collect accounts receivable with credit department; review daily/weekly reports and maintain sales records.
• Attend meetings, participate in trainings, and assist with onboarding of new employees.
