Home Matters Caregiving - Greater Boston North / West is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to provide compassionate in-home care in the Wellesley area. You will engage clients with meaningful activities, assist with light housekeeping, and help with errands and meal preparation.

The role requires 6 months of caregiving experience, Mandarin fluency, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check. Various shifts are available including day and evening hours.

Qualifications

• 6 months of caregiving, home care, companionship, homemaking, or a related role.
• Fluent or conversational Mandarin is required; conversational Cantonese or Japanese is a plus.
• Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. Schedule may change based on the client’s needs.
• Compassionate, patient, and approachable, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable engaging clients in friendly conversation and meaningful activities and encouraging social interaction.
• Experience with or willingness to perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and errands.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for groceries and other client-related errands.
• Ability to pass a background check and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations, activities, and social interaction.
• Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, tidying, dishes, and maintaining a clean and safe home environment.
• Assist with errands, shopping, and other routine household tasks as needed.
• Prepare meals and snacks according to the client’s preferences and dietary needs.
• Assist with basic personal care needs, such as grooming, dressing, and toileting, as needed.
• Provide medication reminders as directed by the client’s care plan.
• Provide support with safe mobility and daily routines as appropriate.
• Offer support and supervision for clients with memory loss or cognitive changes.
