Job summary

Home Matters Caregiving is seeking compassionate Personal Care Assistants to join our in-home care team serving the Greater Boston West area. You will help clients with daily living activities, meal preparation, medication reminders, mobility support, and companionship in a respectful, patient-centered environment.

We value 6 months of home care experience, clear English communication, the ability to pass a background check, and a caring attitude.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in home care or as a Personal Care Assistant.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Compassionate, high-quality in-home care.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
• Experience or training in dementia care is highly desirable.
• A valid driver's license may be required depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Medication reminders and documentation.
• Support clients with mobility and physical exercises as needed.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations or activities.
• Assist with dementia care, providing specialized support for individuals with cognitive impairments.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and family members regarding client needs and progress.
