Job summary

D.O.M. magazine's aviation client in Mesa, AZ seeks a Managing Lead A&P Mechanic to oversee daily maintenance, ensure airworthiness, and uphold FAA standards.

You will supervise field bases, manage parts inventory, maintain RAMCO inputs, and mentor technicians while offering competitive pay, bonuses, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have FAA A&P certificate and 2+ years as a certified mechanic.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficient communication and basic computer skills.
• Sheet metal repair and/or avionics troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work night shifts.
• Ability to pass pre-placement physical exams and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate daily maintenance and inspection tasks to ensure aircraft airworthiness.
• Notify the Lead Mechanic of any unusual issues that may require schedule or aircraft changes.
• Oversee maintenance operations at field bases, managing assigned aircraft and maintaining adequate stock for repairs.
• Prepare and certify aircraft logs and maintenance documentation to meet FAA and company standards.
• Ensure compliance with RAMCO system entries, including work packages and component installations.
• Maintain effective communication with the Lead Mechanic and team members to ensure timely job completion.
• Manage and monitor parts inventory, recommending adjustments to stock levels as needed.
• Maintain and calibrate company-provided special tools according to established schedules.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
