Job summary

D.O.M. magazine is seeking a Managing Lead Mechanic for our client in Phoenix, AZ, to oversee aircraft maintenance on a state-of-the-art air ambulance fleet and ensure airworthiness for life-saving missions.

Responsibilities include reviewing maintenance requirements, coordinating with the Lead Mechanic, overseeing field base operations, maintaining RAMCO documentation, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with FAA and manufacturer standards. Travel and night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Mechanic.
  • Ability to pass pre-placement physical exam, drug screening, and background check.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work night shifts as required.
  • Experience with RAMCO and aircraft maintenance documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate maintenance and inspection requirements to ensure aircraft airworthiness.
  • Communicate with the Lead Mechanic regarding unusual situations that may require schedule, aircraft, or manpower adjustments.
  • Oversee maintenance operations at field bases, ensuring aircraft readiness and requisitioning necessary spares.
  • Prepare reports, requisitions, and inventories, certifying all maintenance complies with FAA, manufacturer, and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in RAMCO, including work packages, status sheets, removals, and installations.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Mechanic, AMBS, and agents to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and manage parts inventory, recommending level adjustments when needed.
  • Maintain and calibrate company-issued special tools.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
