Job summary

Crux Climate Inc. is seeking a Managing Director, Tax Investor Coverage to scale our network of buyers across utilities, real estate, and industrials.

You will report to the Head of Tax Investor Coverage and mentor a team of junior professionals while shaping Crux's broader tax credit buyer strategy. You will develop trusted relationships with tax and finance leaders, lead high-level outreach, and represent Crux at industry conferences and webinars, driving strategic growth in a remote-first,

Qualifications

• 14+ years of experience in tax, accounting, legal practice, and/or tax advantaged investing.
• Proven track record building and owning long-term client relationships with tax and finance teams at large corporations from scratch.
• Experience managing and developing junior team members.
• Comfortable with cold outreach, conference participation and public speaking.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-term client relationships with tax and finance leaders at the largest F250 tax credit buyers and tax equity investors.
• Build net new relationships through conferences, networking, outreach, partnerships, and inbound.
• Speak on webinars and panels to establish market expertise.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, helping clients build their tax credit investing strategy.
• Partner with external buyer advisors including legal and tax to navigate complex transactions.
• Mentor a team of junior professionals, overseeing development, workflow and quality of execution.
• Shape Crux's tax credit buyer strategy and prioritize segments, partnerships, and go-to-market approach.
• Act as an internal subject matter expert on renewable tax credits.
