Job summary

Crux Climate Inc. is seeking a Vice President to lead Industry Coverage with a focus on M&A advisory and debt mandates.

You will own relationships with developers, IPPs, utilities, manufacturers, and sponsors, and drive transactions across the full capital stack including M&A, debt, and tax credits. You will originate, structure, and execute advisory mandates, manage debt origination, and mentor junior teammates while shaping Crux's platform roadmap and client services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in power and utilities, renewables, clean energy finance, infrastructure M&A, debt capital markets, project finance, investment banking, or related advisory roles.
• Demonstrated track record contributing to M&A transactions (buy-side or sell-side) and/or debt financings, with strong deal structuring and execution.
• Deep expertise in at least one of M&A advisory or debt capital markets, with working knowledge of the other.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, including M&A valuation methodologies and debt structuring analysis.
• Proven experience preparing M&A and/or debt-related materials such as CIMs, teasers, lender presentations, and information memoranda.
• Strong track record managing multiple complex workstreams independently in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, professional judgment, and a client-first mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• FINRA SIE, Series 79, and 63, or willingness to obtain them under Crux's broker-dealer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Own senior client relationships, driving strategic coverage plans and advising developers, IPPs, utilities, manufacturers and sponsors across the full capital stack.
• Drive origination, structuring, and execution of M&A advisory mandates, including sell-side processes, valuation analyses and deal negotiation.
• Support and drive debt origination and advisory work across construction, term, back-leverage, and tax equity bridge products.
• Advise clients on M&A and debt opportunities using deep market intelligence and product knowledge.
• Mentor junior team members on relationship-building and deal execution while engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Develop M&A- and debt-specific client-facing materials (CIMs, teasers, lender presentations, information memoranda).
• Manage transaction execution workstreams, including diligence oversight and coordination with legal and technical advisors.
• Lead client onboarding and engagement strategy with Crux's software and Intelligence platforms.
• Contribute to Market Intelligence content and represent Crux at webinars and industry events.
