We are seeking a Managing Director in Food to strengthen our Industrial M&A and Corporate & Investment banking teams. Position: Managing Director, Mergers & Acquisitions

GENERAL FUNCTION

This senior leadership role involves leading teams to source and execute M&A advisory assignments, leveraging industry expertise, transaction skills, and business development acumen. The role includes developing relationships with senior executives, managing complex transactions, collaborating across bank divisions, and contributing to strategic and professional development initiatives. The position also emphasizes risk management, customer service, and alignment with the bank’s risk appetite.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Leverage industry knowledge to assess client objectives and deliver strategic advice.
2. Source and execute M&A and capital raise transactions supporting the bank’s commercial client base.
3. Develop and maintain relationships within targeted industry verticals for new business opportunities.
4. Manage a pipeline of opportunities from sector coverage.
5. Lead creation of marketing collateral and investment banking presentations; deepen client relationships.
6. Recruit, develop, and mentor team members.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide performance feedback, develop talent, and recognize employee achievements to ensure a strong team and succession planning.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 15+ years in M&A and Investment Banking, with expertise in Food & Beverage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven success in originating and closing complex transactions.
• Leadership experience in financial services growth.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Interpersonal skills and industry expertise aligned with team sectors.
• MBA or equivalent; Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79, and Series 63 licenses.
