We are looking for a Managing Director in Food to enhance our Industrial M&A and Corporate & Investment Banking teams. Managing Director, Mergers & Acquisitions

GENERAL FUNCTION: Senior leadership role leading teams in sourcing and executing M&A advisory assignments, leveraging industry expertise, transaction skills, and business development acumen. Develop relationships with senior executives inside the bank and at clients and prospects. Lead and participate in pitching, managing, and closing complex advisory transactions. Collaborate with Corporate & Investment Banking and Capital Markets teams to deliver differentiated solutions. Contribute to the strategic direction of the group and the professional development of team members. Demonstrate key leadership qualities to support the bank's investment banking strategy.

Risk Management: Responsible for risk by promoting open communication, following policies, and ensuring actions align with the bank's risk appetite. Always prioritize doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, fostering a positive customer experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Leverage industry and market knowledge to assess client objectives and provide strategic advice.
  2. Source and execute M&A and capital raise transactions supporting the bank's core client base.
  3. Build and maintain an active network within targeted industry verticals for new business opportunities.
  4. Manage a pipeline of opportunities from sector coverage.
  5. Provide thought leadership through proprietary ideas, marketing collateral, and presentation materials. Deepen client relationships and showcase the bank's full-service capabilities.
  6. Recruit, develop, and retain talent, serving as a mentor and role model.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide performance feedback, develop employees, identify talent, and recognize accomplishments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 15+ years in M&A and Investment Banking, with expertise in Food & Beverage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven success in originating and closing complex financial transactions.
  • Leadership experience in financial services growth.
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Industry expertise aligned with targeted sectors.
  • MBA or equivalent.
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79, and Series 63 licenses.
