Competences

  • Manage equity capital markets and equity syndicate.
  • Support the origination and execution of IPO's, follow-ons, ATM's and share repurchase programs.
  • Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of companies and sectors including analysis of operating metrics, valuation, comparable company analysis, business trends and financial modeling.
  • Client targeting, client prospecting, due diligence and pitching.
  • Senior level relationships with institutional equity clients, private equity clients and syndicate managers.
  • Build and execute deal marketing strategies, collation of client feedback, book building and deal pricing capability.
  • Rationalize research company models with company/banking models.
  • Contribute to the commitment committee process.
  • Stand up and execute a deal execution platform that is compliant and can work with legal teams to ensure deal filings are filed with the SEC.
  • Extraordinary levels of motivation and initiative.
  • Established industry relationships and business plan necessary to build a profitable deal team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity.
  • Experience in recruiting, training and managing people at all levels of an investment banking team.
  • Ability to work with other product team leaders in a cordial and collaborative fashion.
  • Ability to comfortably develop and interact with clients in a professional and mature manner.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and to develop innovative solutions.
  • Adaptability, able to manage numerous projects independently and simultaneously.
  • Very strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modelling and valuation work).
  • Excellent understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks facing investment banks in today's environment.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage past investment banking or related industry experience delivering positive execution and/or capital raising outcomes helping contribute to building Texas Capital’s franchise.
  • Meet revenue and other financial goals by establishing and maintaining a pipeline of episodic deals.
  • Ensure that proposed client solutions meet or exceed internal risk and return standards, including stringent ethical standards.
  • Anticipate future changes in the marketplace.
  • Identify and anticipate all types of risks (e.g. industry, portfolio, diversification, sovereign, commercial, currency, etc.).
  • Serve as a leader and mentor to banking team, execute staffing models that support business needs and career trajectories for junior staff.
  • Build client relationships by providing sophisticated financial solutions tailored to the clients’ needs and acting as a content provider on market trends.
  • Oversight and execution of a myriad of capital markets and advisory service transactions as well as the oversight of the project / deal team, driving the work product through every phase of the transaction process.
  • Serve as the expert on regulatory, financial and complex strategic issues relating to corporate finance transactions.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Texas Capital, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
