Job summary

SeaWorld Orlando is seeking an experienced Operations & Inventory Manager to lead our warehouse team, drive process improvements, and ensure safe, efficient operations. You will oversee asset control, cycle counts, and cross-functional coordination with Finance and park operations.

The role requires strong leadership, overseeing thousands of items, with a focus on SOP adherence, training, and cost controls in a dynamic, guest‑facing environment. On-site role in Orlando, FL.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s preferred.
  • 5+ years in fast-paced warehouse with leadership experience.
  • Experience overseeing thousands of items and inventory cycles.
  • Ability to document and improve processes and SOPs.
  • Knowledge of SAP scheduling and maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain documented warehouse processes and SOPs across the operation.
  • Control assets received, stored, and delivered.
  • Manage daily warehouse operations including product delivery, driving, fleet maintenance, and training programs.
  • Oversee offsite storage programs and annual inventory processes.
  • Develop and oversee cycle counts and coordinate with Finance on reporting.
  • Ensure SOPs are followed and safety rules are implemented and maintained.
  • Assist with budget preparation and cost controls to maximize profitability.
  • Lead warehouse leadership and front-line staff through training, coaching, and scheduling.
  • Participate in park duty rotation and other duties as assigned.

What You Get to Do:
Operations & Inventory
  • Establish and maintain documented processes and procedures across the warehouse, continually identifying and driving opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and operational efficiency.
  • Control and manage assets received, stored, and delivered through the warehouse.
  • Manage all daily aspects of the warehouse operation, including product delivery, driving, fleet maintenance, and general training and documentation programs to ensure department, park, and company guidelines are met.
  • Manage offsite storage programs with an end goal of elimination, including annual cost evaluations, cycle counts, and inventory processes.
  • Develop and oversee a consistent cycle count process and manage the annual warehouse inventory in conjunction with our park Finance team.
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are followed across all areas of warehousing.
  • As appropriate, recommend improvements or changes to physical structure, processes/production, or staffing.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure all corporate compliance requirements are met.
  • Oversee the safe operation of all powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, stock pickers, and pallet jacks, ensuring warehouse staff are properly trained, and that safety rules and regulations are implemented and maintained to sustain a safe working environment.
  • Work with Culinary Safety leaders to maintain compliance with Food Safety guidelines, hygiene, and cleanliness as stated by the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Business and Professional Regulation as needed.
Budget & Financial Oversight
  • Assist with preparation of the annual warehouse budget.
  • Oversee budget, including controls on product cost, miscellaneous expenses, and labor expenses, to maximize profitability.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Responsible for the oversight and development of warehouse leadership and team members by providing training, feedback, coaching, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate scheduling for all leadership and front-line staff.
Other
  • Participate in park duty rotation, which encompasses any needed operating or administrative functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What It Takes to Succeed:
Experience & Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; possession or pursuit of a bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience operating in a fast-paced, high-volume merchandise or similar warehouse environment with oversight of several thousand items, along with 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading people in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Certifications & Compliance
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet Company driving standards.
  • Working knowledge of powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment, including forklifts, stock pickers, and pallet jacks, with the ability to implement and maintain OSHA-compliant safety rules and regulations. PIT/forklift trainer certification preferred.
  • Must be able to complete provided RCS Responsible Vendor Training (alcohol) and CPR training.
Communication & Business Acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate effectively with ambassadors, guests, and leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to build structure from ambiguity, creating and documenting processes where none exist and continuously improving them over time.
  • Able to understand, interpret, and train others on financial reports, including P&L statements, sales, and budget reports.
Physical Requirements
  • Extensive walking and standing throughout the work shift; able to move freely around work areas.
  • Frequently performs physical activities including standing, walking, climbing, bending floor-to-waist and waist-to-overhead, reaching overhead, and simple grasp/fine manipulation tasks.
  • Able to push/pull/maneuver a rolling pallet jack with weights up to 1,200 pounds.
  • Able to frequently lift/carry up to 50 pounds unassisted, or 90 pounds with assistance.
  • Comfortable working at heights and around fumes/dust/odor.
  • Able to work indoors (with or without A/C) and outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes.
Schedule & Flexibility
  • Available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, including opening, mid, and closing shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Flexible in work location based on business needs and career development opportunities.
