Job summary

Build-A-Bear seeks a Manager of Treasury and Accounts Payable to optimize cash flow, reduce costs, manage risks, and provide financial insights. You will lead A/P and treasury activities, partner with auditors, and drive policy compliance across the function from our corporate offices.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 6–8 years treasury and A/P experience, and strong Excel and financial reporting skills. CPA and multi-jurisdiction experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with treasury and accounts payable functions.
• Proficient in Excel and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable and cash flow management.
• Develop and enforce cash collection and disbursement policies.

• Ensure SOX compliance and testing.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors.

The Manager of Treasury and Accounts Payable plays a critical role in Build-A-Bear’s global strategic success by optimizing cash flow, minimizing costs, managing risks, and providing financial insights. Through effective cash management, relationship building, and compliance efforts, they contribute to the company's financial stability, profitability, and ability to pursue strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable
• Day-to-day liquidity management
• Develop, maintain, and enforce company policies and controls related to cash collection and disbursement
• Maintain banking relationships to maximize services and minimize costs
• Point of contact for all treasury-related matters
• Prepare timely reconciliations for all Cash, and Insurance ledger accounts
• Conduct financial analysis to provide insights into the company's financial performance and support strategic decision-making
• SOX compliance and testing
• Manage insurance processes
• Work with internal and external auditors
• Store banking needs
• Manage company credit card program
• Leadership and Management of a minimum of 2 Direct Reports

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Skilled in D365 A/P and Cash Management Modules
• Ability to work with and understand BAI2
• 6-8 years of experience in treasury and accounts payable functions
• Skilled in Excel
• Skilled in financial reporting and analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA
• 8-10 years of experience in corporate accounting
• 5 years of experience in treasury in multiple jurisdictions
• 1-2 years of experience managing people
